To facilitate operational control and transmission of electricity to the Power System of Ukraine, we use a sophisticated and functional network of main power transmission lines – the basis for quality and reliable supply of electricity to consumers across Ukraine.
As of 01.01.2018, our company operated and maintained 137 110-750 kV electrical substations (SS) with the aggregate rated capacity exceeding 78.7 thousand MVA, and 21,3 thousand km of trunk and interstate 220-800 kV overhead power transmission lines (OL).
To apply uniform technical requirements to construction of new and modernization of the existing power grid, we have developed, and enacted the Technical policy of Ukrenergo NPC SE on development and operation of trunk and interstate power grid (SOU NPC 20.261:2019)* (the “Standard”), a new version has been revised in 2019.
The main purpose of the Standard is to generalize the available experience in operation, set uniform technical requirements to reconstruction and upgrade of existing and construction of new trunk and interstate power grid.
Requirements and provisions of the Technical Policy are binding upon research and development, design, repair, construction, installation and setup organizations responsible for facilitating the functioning, operation and development of trunk and interstate power grid, and other entities of the electricity generation and distribution complex in the context of performance of contractual obligations to our Company.
Development prospects of the Company’s trunk power grid are outlined in the 10-year Development Plan for the Power System of Ukraine.
