NEURC has approved the Investment Programme of Ukrenergo for 2020. According to this programme, the Company doubles its investments comparing to the previous year.
This time, they amount to 6.4 bln UAH comparing to 3.1 bln UAH in 2019.
The investments have been increased due to intensive investments of significant number of projects planned for 2020; the constructions under these projects were designed and prepared in the previous years.
At the same time, 5.1 bln UAH (approximately 80% of the total amount) will be loans received from international financial organizations, such as the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, KfW, a German state-owned development bank, and others.
Ukrenergo’s investment policy is aimed at making the most of credit funds for investments. After all, the conditions under which Ukrenergo attracts loans from international financial organizations provide for a low credit rate and a long repayment period. Due to this, it is not necessary to sharply increase the Company’s tariffs to finance constructions.
