On 21-22 February the Ukrenergo`s delegation visited Bratrislava in order to hold a meeting with SEPS, the Slovak transmission system operator. The key goal of the meeting was to discuss the implementation of the project “Reconstrucion of the OHL 400 kV Mukachevo (Ukraine) – Veľké Kapušany (Slovakia)”. The delegation was headed by Oleksii Brekht, Deputy CEO, COO at Ukrenergo, and Mykhailo Bno-Airiian, Chief Communications and International Cooperation Officer at Ukrenergo. The parties discussed the current state of the common grid research fulfillment within the project, possible technical solutions as regards to reconstruction of the existing cross-border overhead line. Besides, the Ukrenergo`s representatives provided the Slovak colleagues with the data on the future development of the transmission and distribution grids of the Burshtyn Island TPP. The participants of the meeting signed a minutes which highlights a list of further steps and bilateral obligations of the parties as well as deadlines for performing the grid calculations. The results of the calculations will be ready in August . Actually these results will serve as a basis for the technical solution within fulfillment of the abovementioned project: reconstruction of the existing line or construction of the brand new one. It should be mentioned as well the representative of the Energy Community Secretariat participated in the following meeting. This aspect is of particular importance owing the current state of the PECi/PMI projects submission in the organization.
The mentioned project is a candidate to the PMI projects list. The following list will be approved by the Energy Community Council of Ministers this autumn. The meeting contributed much to the approval of the application final configuration to get the PMI status.
