A working session of the SE “NPC “Ukrenergo and SE “Moldelectrica” representatives took place on December, 27-28 in Chisinau.
The Parties discussed the draft Operating agreement on establishment of the regulation unit within Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, the draft design roadmap and amendments approval as well as an issue regarding restoration of the 750kV OHL Pivdennoukrainska NPP-Isakcha, for 400kV class voltage.
The Operating agreement conclusion on establishment of the regulation unit is one of the key tasks of the Action plan within synchronization of the Ukrainian energy system with the European Network.
The following agreement is to renew all organizational and technical regulations which ensure the parallel functioning of the Ukrainian and Moldovan power systems.
As a result of meeting main part of the draft Operating agreement was approved as regards to creation of the regulation unit within the energy systems of Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova. The Parties agreed as well on the list of annexes, approved the design roadmap and the way of amendments confirmation. Implementation of the mentioned roadmap is previewed for the years 2018.
The representatives paid attention as well to main technical solutions and their implementation within discussion of the restoration of the 750kV OHL Pivdennoukrainska NPP-Isakcha, for 400kV class voltage.
Just to remind that Ukrenergo delegation presented the project regarding construction of a 750-400kV substation “Prymorska” with 400 kV double-circuit overhead line “Prymorska-Isakcha (Romania) for consideration to obtain the Project of mutual interest status during the second PECI/PMI Electricity Group meeting held in Vienna on the 11th of December. The implementation of the following project will increase the scope of capacity exchange up to 1000-1200 MW starting from 2026. Besides, it will improve the reliability of electricity supply to consumers of the southern regions of Ukraine and Moldova. Moreover, the fulfillment of the project will lift restrictions on the renewables generation capacity throughput in the south of Ukraine and in the west of Romania.
Earlier this year SE “NPC “Ukrenergo” and SE “Moldelectrica” agreed on concerted actions regarding implementation of measures aimed at ensuring the synchronization of both energy systems with ENTSO-E.
