On 11 December 2018, as required by the Law of Ukraine “On Electricity Market” and within the terms specified by the Law, Ukrenergo launched test transactions on the sale and purchase of electricity on the balancing market and the ancillary services market.
The test platform Market Management System (hereinafter referred to as “MMS”) was presented before market participants yesterday. The first training module was attended by more than 40 representatives of generating companies, including the largest Ukrainian electricity producers, namely SE NNEGC Energoatom, LLC DTEK Energo, OJSC Tsentrenergo, OJSC Ukrhydroenergo, PJSC Donbasenergo and others.
The participants had a possibility to learn about the principles of the test platform, algorithm of performing transactions on the balancing market and the ancillary services market in a real-time mode, mechanisms for communication and interaction among market participants and the system operator, etc. In addition, the representatives of participating companies received logins and passwords (keys) for access to the test platform.
The MMS platform is available at Ukrenergo website. To receive access “keys”, market participants have to contract the platform’s Support Service via email supportMMS@ua.energy or call (044) 238-38-28.
In addition, the website contains the registration form for market participants.
“All potential participants of the balancing market and the ancillary services market will receive logins and passwords (keys) for access to the test platform and will be able to test it by themselves. After this procedure is completed, we will meet with market participants to discuss the issues related to the test platform’s operation,” noted Deputy CEO for Market Development and IT at SE NPC Ukrenergo Andrii Nemyrovskyi.
