Ukrenergo, one of the first in Ukraine, announced its intention to join the SSU`s platform MISP-UA, that allows to receive real-time information about cyber attacks and possible cyber threats. A memorandum on cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has been signed for this purpose.
MISP-UA platform (Malware Information Sharing Platform — Ukrainian Advantage) is a valuable source of information for protecting the IT-infrastructure. It is designed to collect and process data on cyber threats of critical infrastructure in real-time.
The platform works with dozens of global channels that have the latest and most up-to-date information. It is being continuously updated, analyzes the work of information systems and identifies possible threats.
«With operational information about existing or potential cyber threats, we will be able to take measures in advance to protect our system. This is much more effective than dealing with the effects of cyber attacks. We consider our joining MISP-UA as an important step towards strengthening the cybersecurity of Ukrenergo and of the country as a whole,» — said Chief Information Officer SE «NPC «Ukrenergo» Sergiy Galagan.
MISP platform is used by well-known international cybersecurity organizations such as the NATO NCI Agency, Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-EU) for the EU institutions, agencies and bodies and others.
In Ukraine MISP-UA has already been joined by Ukrhydroenerho, Lіnkos Group, that is an owner of M.E.Doc software, Antonov State Company, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the State Agency for E-Governance of Ukraine and others.
