On June 26, SE NPC Ukrenergo conducted a sectoral emergency training in the integrated power system (IPS) of Ukraine. The event was attended by regular dispatchers of SE NPC Ukrenergo, regional dispatching centers (RDCs), power supply companies, as well as heads of power plants shifts (PJSC Ukrhydroenergo, NPPs and TPPs).
The event, during which the power sector employees improved their skills, was attended by the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Ihor Nasalyk, Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine on European Integration Nataliia Boiko, Chairman of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Fuel and Energy Complex, Nuclear Policy and Nuclear Safety Oleksandr Dombrovskyi, First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleh Hladkovskyi, Director General of the Energy Markets Directorate of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry Olha Buslavets and Director General of the Directorate for Strategic Planning and European Integration of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry Vitalii Kushnirov.
The purpose of the training was to check and perfect the actions of the operational personnel of SE NPC Ukrenergo, power generation and power supply companies during the occurrence and liquidation of emergency situations under the conditions of high environmental temperatures.
In the course of the training, various emergency situations and specific operating modes of the Integrated Power System of Ukraine (emergency discharging of main overhead lines, complicated by forest and steppe fires as a result of heat, shutdown of units, etc.) were modeled.
During the training, the operational personnel demonstrated their readiness to work in all complex situations specified by the program and completed the set tasks.
