On 15 November, during the working meeting in Kyiv, representatives of SE NPC Ukrenergo and SE Moldelectrica agreed and signed final appendices to the Operation Agreement on parallel operation in the joint control unit Ukraine – Republic of Moldova (hereinafter referred to as the “Operation Agreement”), namely:
Regulation on the identification of external elements and calculation of security criteria N-1;
Regulation on the planning of operation modes of the IPS of Ukraine and the power system of Moldova;
Procedure for the telemetering and signalling data exchange between SE NPC Ukrenergo and SE Moldelectrica;
Technical parameters of the data exchange process using ICCP protocol;
Procedure for the agreement and allocation of available transfer capacity between Ukraine and Moldova.
The signing of these documents means the finalisation of preparation of the Operation Agreement on the establishment of the control unit within the power systems of Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova.
“It took a year to prepare and agree on all documents related to the Agreement, with the consulting support from our key European partner Elia Group. Due to this cooperation, the Operation Agreement took into account all ENTSO-E requirements regarding the parallel operation of the power systems of Ukraine and Moldova in the joint control unit. The Operation Agreement is expected to be signed in December this year in Chisinau. This is another important step towards the implementation of measures on integration of the power system of Ukraine into ENTSO-E,” said Vitalii Zaichenko, Deputy CEO for Operational Management – Chief Dispatcher of SE NPC Ukrenergo.
