Last week, dispatchers of SE NPC Ukrenergo and SE Moldelectriсa participated in a joint training session within the framework of implementation of the “Action plan for synchronisation of the power system of Ukraine with the EU power systems for 2018”.
During a large-scale emergency prevention training, power engineers demonstrated a well-coordinated high-level interaction and worked out an algorithm of joint actions in a number of emergency scenarios when eliminating the simulated technological disturbances.
In addition, as part of the training, representatives of Ukrenergo and Moldelectriсa exchanged their experience on the peculiarities of operation of the power systems of both countries, discussed the project of integration of the IPS of Ukraine and Moldova into ENTSO-E, the issues of cybersecurity and security of power supply under the conditions of a new electricity market, as well as visited 330 kV SS Pivnichna, Kyivska HPP and HPSPP.
“We have a common goal: to integrate the power systems of Ukraine and Moldova into the European association ENTSO-E. The training, which united the dispatchers from the two countries, is one of our first steps towards the organisational compliance with the requirements to the European system operators and their standards of work in the field of dispatch control. We hope that the practice of joint training sessions will continue in the format of attracting all specialists of dispatching departments to work out interaction in the scenarios of possible extraordinary situations,” said Deputy CEO for Operational Management – Chief Dispatcher of SE NPC Ukrenergo Vitalii Zaichenko.
The parties agreed to hold the next training in Moldova next year.
