  • 750 SUBSTATION KV “DNIPROVSKA” HELD A PRE-TENDER MEETING

Within the framework of holding an international tender with respect to the project “Rehabilitation of substations in the eastern part of Ukraine,” tender participants visited 750 kV substation “Dniprovska.”

Potential subcontractors, namely LLC “KEBK” (Kyiv energy construction company, Ukraine), ACG s.r.o. (Czech Republic),

Dalekovod d.d., (Croatia), Xian Electric Engineering (China), General Electric Grid GmbH (Germany), Siemens AG (Germany), Cobra Instalaciones y Sevicios S.A. (Spain), BAT Azenco (Azerbaijan), had a possibility to view the platform of future works in detail, asses the scope of rehabilitation and receive answers to their questions.

The substation was also visited by the representatives of a consultant on the development of a feasibility study (FS) for the rehabilitation project, namely LLC “KhPKI “Teploelektroproekt-Soiuz,” (Kharkiv), and a consultant on the preparation of tender documents of the consortium MVV Decon – Consulectra Unternehmensberautung GmbH (Germany).

Rehabilitation of 750 kV substation “Dniprovska” provides for the replacement of all outdated equipment with the implementation of an automated system of control over technological processes (ASUTP). The implementation of this project will increase the level of security, reliability and efficiency of electricity supply in Dniprovskyi region. In particular, it will ensure the coverage of peak loads and electricity consumption under the conditions of deteriorated power supply due to the damaged infrastructure in the eastern part of Ukraine. In addition, the substation rehabilitation constitutes one of the components of the preparation process for integration of the integrated power system of Ukraine into the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity.

It is worth reminding that the project “Rehabilitation of substations in the eastern part of Ukraine” is implemented using the funds of the Government of Germany, with KfW (Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau) acting as a manager of the funds.

“Such meetings form an effective practice stipulated by the international tender procedures, allowing the participants to get acquainted with the scope of works and working conditions at the site itself at the preparation stage,” Anastasiia Ryzhkova, a project manager of the Project Management Office, commented on the visit.
