Vsevolod Kovalchuk resigns as Acting CEO of NPC Ukrenergo.  By decision of NPC Ukrenergo Supervisory Board, Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, will assume the functions of Company’s Acting CEO starting from 27 February 2020 and until completion of the CEO recruitment competition.

I did my job having ensured the irreversible reformation of Ukrenergo, implementation of the electricity market and integration of the power system of Ukraine into ENTSO-E to the benefit of the Company and Ukraine as a whole”, he commented on his decision to leave the post.

In his turn, Volodymyr Kudrytskyi assures that Ukrenergo will maintain its independence as the system operator. “The Company will maintain its primary functions to ensure the reliable operation of the power system. We will safeguard and pursue the principles of corporate governance, and our strategic goals will remain unchanged”, stated Volodymyr Kudrytskyi.

It is worth reminding that Vsevolod Kovalchuk assumed the duties of the CEO of NPC Ukrenergo in October 2015. Over this time, the Company has undergone fundamental institutional changes founded on European principles and regulations. The historic events were concluding the agreement on potential integration of Ukrainian IPS into ENTSO-E in 2017, and launching the new electricity market in 2019.
