Yesterday, on June 13, 2018, a number of mass media referred to LLC “Luhanske Enerhetychne Obiednannia” and reported about possible emergency outages of electricity supply in the northern part of Luhansk region due to the planned works of Ukrenergo on the over-head line (OHL) 220 kV Luhanska TTP – Lysychanska from 6:00 of June 15 till 19:00 of June 19.
In this regard, Ukrenergo informs that the repair of OHL 220 kV Luhanska TPP – Lysychanska will be performed in accordance with approved schedules of repairs and outages of power transmission lines. Repair schedules have been developed in order to prepare Luhansk region for the autumn-winter period 2018-2019 and prevent any emergency situations during this period.
At the same time, it is worth noting that the significant part of electric grids in Luhansk region were damaged due to military actions, so such a repair reduces the reliability of functioning of Luhanskyi power unit. In particular, there is a possibility of electricity consumption restrictions in the volume of up to 50 MW. In addition, in the event of an additional emergency outage, a short full shutdown of the power unit with 220 kV load is possible.
However, let us inform you that SE NPC Ukrenergo is prepared for any emergency situation and will be able to restore electricity supply within the shortest period. The Company previously developed all organizational and technical measures regarding the operation in the case of withdrawal of OHL 220 kV Luhanska TPP – Lysychanska for repair and regarding the actions of employees in the emergency situation.
“Deadlines regarding the notification about the application of electricity consumption restriction schedules fully complied with the statutory documents. The volumes of electricity supply restrictions will be adjusted depending on the level of current consumption,” noted Yurii Prykhozhyi, Deputy Chief Dispatcher of the Regional dispatching center of Pivnichnyi region.
