Focus magazine published a ranking of the Ukrainian executives – “33 best managers in Ukraine”. Ukrenergo CEO Vsevolod Kovalchuk made the list.
The rating is based on the research that was conducted in two stages by the editorial staff. First they determined 11 most influencing industries in terms of GDP: oil- and gas production, agriculture, financial sector, heavy industry, IT, retail, construction and development, food industry, pharmaceuticals industry, automobile market, transport industry and infrastructure. After that Focus asked 100 experts and analysts to name the most efficient managers in 2018. The choice of the rating’s finalists was based on this research.
Vsevolod Kovalchuk has been running Ukrenergo since 2015. The company undergoes major reform for 4 consecutive years – modern management principles are introduced, cooperation with key international financial and energy institutions is established. The company invested 3.6 bln UAH in construction and modernization of the equipment and the transmission system in 2018. Substations automation, “smart” grid, balancing capacities and energy storage development are the priorities for Ukrenergo according to the development strategy of the company. At present, the enterprise concentrate its efforts on the introduction of the new electricity market and the integration of the Ukrainian power system to the power system of the continental Europe ENTSO-E.
