On 27 May, NPC Ukrenergo issued to Zaporizka TPP of PJSC DTEK Dniproenergo a certificate of compliance of its electrical installations with requirements for ancillary services and put the company on the Register of ancillary services providers. Zaporizka TPP will be able to participate in ancillary services auctions from 29 May.
Certificates confirm the ability of Zaporizka TPP to provide the following services:
- secondary regulation: manual frequency restoration reserve (mFRR) of 183 MW for loading and 132 MW for unloading;
- tertiary regulation: replacement reserve (RR) of 363 MW both for loading and unloading.
There are 11 power plants that can participate in auctions for purchasing ancillary services, including 8 HPPs that are part of state PJSC Ukrhydroenergo, Kurakhivska TPP of PJSC DTEK Skhidenergo, Kharkivska CHP-5, and Zaporizka TPP of PJSC DTEK Dniproenergo.
Total volume of certified FRR in the power system amounts to ±115 МW, aFRR – 1449 МW (±724.5 МW), mFRR – 3666 МВW (-3615), and RR – 4263 МW.
