Yuriy Boyko is an industry expert with 25 years of experience in management positions of private and public institutions in the energy sector of Ukraine. In 1995, he graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute with a degree in “Automatic Control of Power Systems”, qualification – Electrical Engineer, and the International Institute of Management (2002) in the field of “Business Administration”.
Since 2003, he has worked in professional positions in the energy sector: director of the Brovary district electric networks of JSC A.E.S. Kyivoblenergo; Head of Project Management, Deputy Director for Production and Operation of Distribution Networks, Director for Production to Reduce Costs, Director for Capital Construction of the Operations Department of CJSC A.E.S. Kyivoblenergo.
From September 2011 to October 2012, he held the position of Technical Director of the private enterprise LLC Engineering Company New Energy Technologies, and also worked as
Chairman of the Management Board of PJSC Chernihivoblenergo. On May 6, 2020, he became Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine, and on November 20, 2020, he was appointed Acting Minister of Energy of Ukraine.
